Chamber Chats: Conversations with Carissa Klopoushak
FREE Chats on Zoom and in-person before select concerts
Our beloved Chamber Chats feature in-depth conversations led by Chamberfest Artistic Director, Carissa Klopoushak or other Chamberfriends. Drawing on rich musical backgrounds of hosts and guests, these chats create special connections between guest musicians and our audiences by diving deep into topics surrounding music, the arts, and creativity. Guest artists and creators from all over the world share their favourite stories and video clips, engaging with participants who have a virtual front-row seat to the discussion or who are ready to attend the performers’ imminent concert in our Concert Series or Festival environment.
When online, “Chamber Chats: Conversations” are 60-minute episodes presented live over Zoom and on-demand in our Past Chats Library. Click on our next Chat below to register.
Chamber Chats: Conversations follows in the footsteps of Chamber Chats: At Home, Chez vous, hosted by celebrated broadcaster/writer Eric Friesen. Originally developed as a way to stay connected during the COVID-19 pandemic, Chamber Chats provided a vital means by which the Chamberfest community could support artists during this extended period of lost performance revenues. We are grateful to Eric Friesen for his incredible dedication and professionalism for the first two years of this series. Want to revisit our past Chats? The chat … was very interesting and intimate. I have never had a chance to socially interact with musicians of this level and it was special to ask questions and get to know these talented people a little. It gave me a deeper appreciation for their music and influences. Thank you for this and I will definitely participate in more chats, and, encourage my friends and family to do so as well.
