Garry Elliott, an Ottawa-based guitarist skilled in both classical and jazz music, and Gertrude Létourneau, a multi-talented flutist and singer with a background in therapeutic music and education, will collaborate in this adaptive concert. Garry brings years of experience performing at prestigious festivals and teaching classical and jazz guitar, while Gertrude offers her expertise in connecting music with health, having worked for over two decades as a therapeutic musician.

This concert is aimed for younger audiences, and blends Garry’s classical and jazz guitar artistry with Gertrude’s expressive flute and vocal performances. Both artists also have a history of collaboration, including their CD “Habanera,” which showcases their musical synergy. Together, they’ll put on a lively performance that shows their passion for making music. Something everyone can enjoy.

Chamberfest Adaptive Concerts are performances that consider disability and neurodiverse communities, including adaptations that increase comforts for autistic and neurodivergent children and adults. Family and friends are welcomed into a concert experience with special considerations such as pre-concert visual aids, fidgets, storytelling and interactions, flexible seating, and various spaces for movement, ensuring a comfortable environment for all to be creative and have fun with the music.
