NMN Leslie Ting: Installation “What Brings You In”

Be the first to witness this remarkable interactive installation before you hear the accompanying concert performance later! From 11:15 A.M. to 1:30 P.M., audiences are invited to explore the set and play with the sandtable that was custom-made for “What Brings You In.”

“What Brings You In” is an exploration of when and where our truest selves emerge through a series of new music compositions. In the exact space where the artists will later perform the pieces that make up “What Brings You In,” audiences are welcome to immerse themselves in the specially-designed electroacoustic soundscape and run their hands through the sand on the sandtable as they consider for themselves the very questions that sparked the creation and development of this project.

Whether choosing to play with the sandtable or simply sitting and listening to the explorations of others, audiences should bring their curiosity and playful spirit to this unique and thought-provoking experience.

This installation is part of the What Brings You In project, featuring two concert performances on Monday, August 5th at 15:00 and 17:30. Access to these concert events is available with the NEW MUSIC NOW: All-NMN Event Pass.
