Le Consort Baroque: From Naples to London

The young and energetic French foursome Le Consort make their long-awaited Chamberfest debut with a program of familiar works alongside exquisite hidden gems.

Prepare to embark on a musical journey from Naples to London. Let yourself be seduced by English charm with a glimpse of Italian virtuosity, featuring Henry Purcell, famous for his opera Dido & Aeneas, Nicolas Matteis, who composed extravagantly for the violin, and “Mrs. Philharmonica,” a mysterious female composer who published her sonatas under a pseudonym. Including some of Vivaldi and Corelli’s most famous works, this concert is sure to be a delight!
