Kerson Leong: Virtuosic Works for Solo Violin
Join us for the long-awaited return of Ottawa’s own violin virtuoso Kerson Leong: thrilling, breathtaking, overwhelming, and “not just one of Canada’s greatest violinists but one of the greatest violinists, period” (Toronto Star). Known for his extreme technical prowess and exquisitely nuanced performances, Leong has assembled a monster of a program that he will slay with characteristic supreme control and blazing artistry, including Ysaÿe Solo Sonatas and Bach’s monumental Chaconne. It’s a who’s who of the richest, biggest, most beautiful, and technically advanced music a violinist could play, and Leong is one of the few who does it best. An epic performance is sure to follow!
