Beethoven 9 at 200: Hinrich Alpers
Chamberfest presents Beethoven’s Ninth like we’ve never heard it before! To celebrate the work’s 200th anniversary, Hinrich Alpers returns to perform the entire symphony in a special transcription for solo piano by Franz Liszt. He will be joined by the Ottawa Bach Choir and stellar soloists Meghan Lindsay, Alex Hetherington, Lawrence Wiliford, and Philippe Sly.
Don’t miss our world-renowned singers with pianist Hinrich Alpers for a more intimate Art Song Recital based upon Schumann’s Dichterliebe, 7 PM on Wednesday, November 13 at MacKay United. The performance will showcase each singer individually as well as some delightful group numbers.
