Angela Hewitt and the Chamberfest Anniversary Orchestra: Mozart & Brahms
Angela Hewitt returns for a new blockbuster summer performance, this time with the Chamberfest Anniversary Orchestra and young Canadian pianist Carter Johnson. Embarking on another milestone project after her ambitious and highly acclaimed Bach Odyssey cycle, her Mozart’s Complete Piano Concertos project launched in March 2023 and will continue in collaboration with prestigious orchestras around the world until 2026.
Our Chamberfest audience will be treated to two of these delightfully sparkling Mozart concertos, with Hewitt leading the Chamberfest Anniversary Orchestra with her customary style and impeccable presence. Nestled in between these delectable Mozart selections are Brahms’s Handel Variations for Solo Piano and his Haydn Variations for Two Pianos, where Hewitt will be joined by the up-and-coming pianist, Carter Johnson, whom she specially championed for this evening’s performance.
