Adaptive Concert: Quatuor Despax
Join us at Beechwood’s Sacred Space for a delightful afternoon of music with Quatuor Despax!
Quatuor Despax are a genuine family band! Cendrine and Jean play violin, Maxime plays viola, and Valérie plays cello. The talented Despax siblings have been a regular presence on stages in the national capital and beyond since they began performing together. Members of Ensemble Obiora and the Orchestre Symphonique de Gatineau, the Quatuor Despax have honed their craft, together and apart, for over 20 years. Expect an eclectic mix of standards and new surprises.
Chamberfest Adaptive Concerts (formerly “Adapted Concerts”) are performances for people with sensory sensitivities and exceptionalities, including autistic and neurodivergent children and adults. Family and friends are welcomed into a concert experience that takes into account special considerations such as pre-concert visual aids, storytelling and flexible spaces for movement, ensuring a comfortable environment for all to be creative and have fun with the music. Everyone is welcome!
