Meet the amazing, internationally acclaimed Macedonian pianist Simon Trpčeski, who plays a double bill at Chamberfest this summer as a soloist, chamber player, and with four Macedonian friends known as Makedonissimo. In addition to the music of major composers like Grieg and Shostakovich, Simon and friends will introduce us to both the formally composed music of Macedonia and the haunting melodies of its folk tradition. Simon and his fellow musicians exude both great virtuosity and charm – not to be missed!
