Yang (they/she) is a percussionist with many side-hustles and Chinese-Canadian-child-of-immigrants who prioritizes ethical collaboration, personal growth, and joy. In 2022, Yang is diving in to a year of fruition with the release of several multi-year projects including an animation and music installation at Array Space with Emergensies, the debut album of their band Tiger Balme, and the release of their own collaborative visual album titled “longing for _”. They are an apprentice with RAW Taiko and operations coordinator with Labyrinth Ontario. Yang is the subject of Lunchbox Dilemma, an upcoming docu-series featuring Asian-Canadians and their coming of age experiences, debuting on CBC. Yang is a soft-hearted dream-headed Pisces who enjoys yelling and cooking, sometimes at the same time.
