Tovin Allers is pursuing a Master of Music degree at Rice University where he studies viola with Ivo-Jan Van der Werff. During his undergraduate degree at the University of Ottawa, Allers performed on the Fourth Stage recital hall at the National Arts Centre, in a chamber recital for the NAC’s 50th Anniversary, and in pre-concert showcases for two concerts performed by Pinchas Zukerman. He made his solo debut with the Victoria Symphony in 2016 in the “Victoria Symphony Splash” event in which he performed for an audience of 40,000 people, and has been a fellow at festivals including the Aspen Music Festival in Colorado, the Casalmaggiore International Music Festival in Italy, and the Pacific Region International Summer Music Academy in British Columbia.
