Sheila Jaffé
violin and viola
Montreal-born violinist and violist Sheila Jaffé has performed in numerous international festivals, including Domaine Forget, Prussia Cove, and Schleswig-Holstein, with some of the world’s finest musicians. After completing her studies in Montreal and Berlin, she settled in Toronto as a member of the Canadian Opera Company’s viola section. She has also recently been appointed principal viola of the National Ballet of Canada. Jaffé’s first album, featuring works by Franck, Elgar, and Britten, in collaboration with pianist Huw Watkins, is due for release in 2022.
