Philip Lukic

Philip Lukic (they/them) is a Serbian-Canadian bass-baritone from Ottawa, Ontario. They are currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music in voice performance at the University of Ottawa studying under Professor John Avey. A recipient of the A.-M. Brancker Schubert award and the Shea and David Williams Scholarship award, they are passionate about bringing classical music to life and connecting with modern audiences. Their former roles on stage include Bottom in the University of Ottawa’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Father in the University of Ottawa’s production of Hansel and Gretel, and both Angelotti and the Sacristan in Stephanie Beames’ Ottawa production of Tosca. In oratorio, they have performed as the bass soloist in the CAMMAC Come Sing Messiah concert in December 2022 and December 2023, as well as having performed as the bass soloist in Vaughan Williams’ Fantasia on Christmas Carols with the Kanata Choral Society in 2023.

In addition to their performances and studies, Philip teaches both piano and voice.
