Montreal Horn Stars
brass ensemble
The Montreal Horn Stars is an extraordinarily versatile brass quintet, revisiting the pop, jazz and classical repertoire with its inventive original arrangements, and leaving much room for improvisation. Made up of prominent Québécois musicians, the group collaborates regularly with artists such as Patrick Watson, Pilou, Klô Pelgag, Gabrielle Shonk, and Cirque Éloize. Very active in the studio, the Horn Stars can be heard in Cirque du Soleil shows and on many albums, notably those of Louis-Jean Cormier and Philippe Brach. The group also performs on their own, in shows that are accessible and loaded with groove. In recent years, they’ve performed at the National Arts Centre and at the Montreal Jazzfest.
