Félicia Lévesque

Félicia begins her musical journey on the flute at 12 years old in the wind ensemble at Arthur-Pigeon secondary school. She starts taking private lessons with Johanne Saumure during her third year of high school. She then makes her way to Cégep de St-Laurent where she obtains a double diploma in science and music with Diane Caplette as her flute teacher. She stands out both as a soloist and chamber musician in many competitions during her time at Cégep de St-Laurent. During her final year, she participates in a charity project where she plays music for patients at Albert-Prévost Hospital.
In recent years, she played for renown flautists, such as Susan Hoeppner, Jacinthe Forand, Denis Bluteau, Caroline Séguin, Hervé Hotier, Emily Beynon, Julien Beaudiment, Emmanuel Pahud and Robert Langevin. Félicia has been part of the Montreal Youth Symphonic Orchestra for the last six years with whom she played as a soloist in May 2018 and November 2021. She also played with the New Modern Ensemble (NEM) of Montreal in a concert in April 2021. In 2020 and 2021, she attended the summer program of the National Youth Orchestra of Canada. During winter 2022, she won the first prize of the Pentaèdre-Youkali Contest and the second prize of the Julie-Sirois Contest, the last one promoting contemporary music. Recently, she participated in the second edition of the National Art Center Orchestra Mentorship Program that took place in Ottawa in May 2023.
Felicia completed her undergraduate degree in music performance at Université de Montréal with Jocelyne Roy in 2022 and is currently pursuing her master’s degree at Conservatoire de musique de Montréal with Denis Bluteau.
