Erik Johnson-Scherger

Erik Johnson-Scherger was raised in the countryside around Kingston, Ontario, and completed a Master’s of Music from the University of Ottawa in 2019, where he studied with Yehonatan Berick. He performs and teaches classical, jazz, and folk violin and mandolin in the Ottawa area. In addition to his role in Musk Ox, he plays in the chamber-jazz quartet Side-Eye & Grace, with whom he released the album Liminal Spaces in 2020.
