Emily Belvedere

Harpist Emily Belvedere is an award winning and multi-faceted musician, performer and teacher based out of Toronto, Ontario. Having been praised for her “crystalline technique” and her “ease in merging lyrical and dissonant sounds” Emily has had the opportunity to perform on stages throughout Canada, the United States and Europe. As a soloist, she has won numerous awards and competitions over the years, including winning the prize for best performance of a Canadian Work in the prestigious OSM Standard Life Competition in Montreal. Miss Belvedere’s greatest musical passion is for playing chamber music and she is a member and co-founder of two award- winning chamber groups with whom she has completed various residencies and tours worldwide. Her ensemble “Duo Kalysta” (with flutist Lara Deutsch) released their debut album “Origins” in the fall of 2019, and it was named one of the “20 Favourite Canadian Classical Albums of 2019” by CBC Music. An avid performer and advocate of new music, particularly by Canadian composers, Emily has had the opportunity to commission and premiere several new works for her instrument and various ensembles. Miss Belvedere holds a Bachelor of Music Degree from the Glenn Gould School at the Royal Conservatory of Music and a Masters Degree in Harp Performance from McGill University.
