Emili Losier
soprano
Emili Losier is a Finnish Canadian Soprano whose “lyric voice mirrors her stage presence; extremely sweet and natural” (Ville Kompaa, Cecelia Oines, Amfion.fi). She has performed in multiple fully staged operas and is the recipient of various scholarships and awards, including a SSHRC grant. She has been a local soloist in Ottawa for CAMMAC, Ottawa Chamber Orchestra, Ottawa Pops Orchestra, University of Ottawa Choir, Chœur classique de l’Outaouais Ewashko Singers, among others, and internationally has performed as a soloist for the Cantinovum Choir, Mikkeli City Orchestra, Lappeenranta Symphony Orchestra, Ostrobothnian Chamber Orchestra, and under the baton of BBC Symphony Chief Conductor Sakari Oramo. She currently holds three Masters degrees, an Artist Diploma, and two Bachelor’s degrees in the field of Music, and regularly collaborates with other local Ottawa-based artists.
