David Renaud

David Renaud is an Ottawa-based clarinet player and multi-instrumentalist. He is busy as a freelancer performing for festivals, pit work, studio, clubs, and private events. Renaud performs for National Arts Centre Pops concerts, and covers a multitude of doubles for theatre pit orchestras. He has written music for solo, choral, duos, small ensemble, and big band. With the release of First Love, and its sequel, Encore, Renaud partnered with the great Canadian jazz veteran Brian Browne to produce a lyrical, creative, and beautiful collection of jazz standards. He is the clarinet professor for Carleton University’s music department.
