Brayden Krueger

Brayden Krueger is a Montreal based percussionist and composer. In November 2024 Brayden will be moving to Ostrava, Czechia to participate in the Janacek Philharmonic Orchestra Academy. Previously Brayden held the position of principal percussion with the Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra and was acting principal percussion on trial with the Calgary and Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra. Brayden also performs with the the Thunder Bay and Toronto Symphony Orchestra and, Orchestre Symphonique de Quebec. In 2022 Brayden was named to CBC’s “30 hot Canadian Classical Musicians under 30.” As a composer Brayden creates experimental atmospheric music with electronic production. His music often carries improvisatory qualities. He has written for Toronto based dance company NEAR&FAR Project’s Phantasmagoria which premiered at the 2022 Toronto Fringe Festival as well as Oracle which premiered at the 2023 Guelph Dance Festival. He also performs improvised music with his Montreal based Duo Soup and Beans which combines saxophone and percussion with live electronic processing. Brayden holds degrees in percussion performance from Wilfrid Laurier University, The Glenn Gould School of The Royal Conservatory of Music and The University of Toronto.
