PRE-PONED! We are thrilled to announce we will be partnering with Salle Bourgie (Musée des beaux-arts de Montréal) to present the Pallade Musica concert this Friday, January 15 at 7:30pm. The concert will be available to view for 48 hours following the live premiere (until Sunday, January 17 at 9:30pm).
Montreal’s virtuoso baroque quartet expands, including voice, to explore Bach, Buxtehude, Weckmann, Schütz and themes of the pandemic.

This ensemble is made of young, dynamic Montreal musicians who each have a rich musical life on their own outside of Pallade Musica, too. What I love about this particular program is that it shows how relevant an old narrative can be even for today’s world. One of these scores includes instructions for singers to distance for safety! This is not the first time humans have wrestled with a pandemic, nor is it the first time we’ve turned to music for expression and solace.
