Ottawa Chamberfest has partnered with 32auctions, to help facilitate our online silent auction.
Where does the money go?
All funds raised directly impact our ability to continue our three pillars; summer festival, our popular concert series and our wealth of community engagement and education programming.
Can I tell my friends?
Yes, please! They can bid here.
Do I have to live in Ottawa to bid on the silent auction?
No. The online silent auction is open to anyone 18+ years of age. However, some items are Ottawa, ON specific.
When does the auction start and end?
Silent auction bidding starts on September 22, 2024 at 6:00pm EST and concludes on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at 8:30pm EST.
Will there be in-person bidding?
No. The silent auction will be online bidding only at 32auctions. We will have select items available to view at our first Concert Series: “Le Consort Baroque: From Naples to London” on October 23, 2024 from 6:00 – 8:30pm EST before it concludes.
How Do I Access the auction?
- Click this link to access the Silent Auction: 32auctions.com/ottawachamberfest
- Click “View All Items” (green button on left side or scroll to the bottom of page)
- Anyone can view the silent auction. If you would like to place a bid, you will need to create an account.
How do I create an account?
- At the top of the page click “Create an Account”
- Enter name, email and create password.
- Your “Display Name” will show whenever you place a bid. If you wish to remain anonymous, enter this as your display name.
- Check your email for confirmation to get started.
- Now you can view and bid on items.

How do I add to “My Watchlist”?
If you “Heart” an item, it will be added to “My Watchlist”. You will be notified of any bid activity on these items. You can access this list from the top panel.
How do I change my notification settings?
Go to “My Account” (top right corner) and elect for more or less notification options.
How do I bid on an item?
Click on the item. If this is the first time you are bidding on an item in this auction you will be prompted to login or create an account. Once logged in, you can place exact or proxy bids on as many items as you wish!

How do I bid anonymously?
Log in or sign up to create your account. Set “Display Name” as Anonymous.
What are exact bids and proxy bids?
- Exact Bids: Enter the exact amount you wish to bid. The bidding will immediately move to this amount. You will manually do this when you get notified of being outbid.
- Proxy Bids: Allow 32auctions to bid for you. Enter the maximum amount you wish to pay for this item. As other people bid on this item, 32auctions will bid for you up to your maximum amount. **Your maximum bid amount will remain confidential unless you are outbid.
All bids and sales final.
What happens if two people bid the same amount with proxy bidding?
The first person to set up their proxy bid will win the item when the auction closes. We encourage you to set up proxy bidding early so you have the best chances of winning!
How will I know if I’ve been outbid?
You will receive an email letting you know you’ve been outbid and if you wish to bid again.
What is Extended Bidding?
When the end of the bidding time is reached, the “Extended bidding” feature will automatically extend the end time of an item by 3 minutes IF it receives a bid during the final 3 minutes (Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at 8:27pm). This allows bidders to relax during the end of an auction knowing they will have time to enter a new bid if they’re outbid in the final 3 minutes.
How will I know if I won?
The auction is scheduled to end on October 23, 2024 at 8:30pm EST. At that time, winning bidder notifications will be sent to the highest online bidders.
How can I pay/ pick up my item?
Payment and pick up for winning items will be coordinated through Box Office:
- In person at the end of October 23, 2024, 7pm Concert Series, 290 Lisgar Street, Ottawa, ON, K2P 0E2
- During Box Office Hours of Operation (Mon – Thu 10am – 4pm) starting October 24, 2024, 4 Florence Street, Suite 201, Ottawa, ON, K2P 0W7

What if my item needs to be shipped?
Most items are digital items that will be emailed to the email associated to the winning auction account. Physical items can either be picked up as per above or would need to be coordinated with Box Office. Applicable shipping fees would the responsibly of the winner.
