Eszter Kruchió

Eszter Kruchió experiences music making as the most direct way of communication and an essential channel of expression. Trying to find ways to combine an intellectual, emotional and spiritual approach to the masterworks of all periods, Eszter enjoys a huge variety in her musical activities.

Born in Budapest in 1993, she studied with Ernst Kovacic in Vienna, Tanja Becker-Bender in Hamburg and Ulf Schneider in Hannover, where she recently entered the postgraduate Solo Performance Class. Eszter has been awarded with several prizes at national and international competitions and received multiple exceptional awards, e.g. from the European String Teachers Association.

An avid chamber musician, she has appeared alongside renowned artists as Thomas Riebl, Tanja Becker-Bender, Péter Nagy, István Várdai and Claudio Martínez-Mehner. Solo engagements led to collaborations with the Crescendo Festival Orchestra, the Crescendo Baroque Ensemble and the International Young Soloists under Gergely Madaras.
Eszter has been frequent participant of prominent festivals, most importantly Sommerliche Musiktage Hitzacker, Mit Musik Miteinander (Kronberg Academy), Encuentro Santander, Davos Festival – Young Artists in Concert and IMS Prussia Cove.
Eszter is generously supported by the German Nationwide Episcopal Foundation Cusanuswerk. Based in Hannover and Vienna, the focus of her present activities is the Chaos String Quartet.

She plays on a violin by Stefan-Peter Greiner, a kind private loan.
