Kira Shiner

Originally from Kelowna, BC, Kira has had pleasure of being Acting Associate Principal Oboe with the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra this past year. She has also performed with the National Arts Centre Orchestra, Kingston Symphony Orchestra, Ottawa Symphony Orchestra, Okanagan Symphony Orchestra, and l’Orchestre Symphonique de Gatineau.

Kira is a graduate of the University of Ottawa, where she studied with Charles Hamann. Previously, she was a student at Bard College Conservatory, under the tutelage of Elaine Douvas, and the University of Toronto, studying with Sarah Jeffrey
