In the Community
Adapted Concerts
At Chamberfest’s Adapted Concerts (formerly Sensory Friendly Concerts), artists create welcoming concerts for children and people with sensory sensitivities, on the autism spectrum, or with other considerations. Stretch breaks, visual aids, storytelling, and movable seating promote a creative and safe space to have fun with music.
Concerts in Care
In partnership with the Health Arts Society of Ontario (HASO), Chamberfest produces professional concerts to provide seniors isolated from our arts community with the experience of high-level musical performance in their own long-term care homes.
Palliative Care
Chamberfest’s Palliative Care initiative is a partnership with the Roger Neilson House, a hospice for pediatric palliative care on the grounds of the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO). The program shares music with children at the House on a bi-weekly basis.
Bring the Kids
Chamberfest’s visiting artists give fun, family-friendly, and interactive performances that teach young people about music-making in small ensembles. Kids can experience and explore the storied world of chamber music at our summer music festival. Free admission.
A few notes:
- they are intended for kids (and guardians!) of all ages
- guardians/parents must attend to their kids
