Ticket and Merchandise Sellers
Key responsibilities include:
- Set up the Ticket Sales or Merchandise sales tables at the venue
- Sell tickets or merchandise to concert-goers
- Inventory tickets or merchandise and count floats
- Balance cash and tickets or cash and merchandise then record totals on the appropriate sales form
Head Usher & Ushers
Key responsibilities include:
- Assist with seating concert-goers
- Ensure aisles are kept free of obstructions
- Answer inquiries about the festival from people standing in line
Stage Manager & Assistant Stage Manager
Please note that heavy lifting (up to 20 kg) may be necessary. In order to become a Stage Manager, you should have previous experience as an Assistant Stage Manager at several OCMS concerts.
Key responsibilities include:
- Setup and dismantle the stage prior to and following the concert
- Identify musicians' technical requirements and ensure they are met
- Ensure adequate lighting
- Schedule and carry out set changes
House Manager
For this vital position an individual who has previous experience volunteering with OCMS concerts is required. You must be reliable, well organized, able to solve last minute problems as they arise, and work cohesively with a team of volunteers. You will work closely with the stage manager, artists and venue staff.
Key responsibilities include:
- Pre-concert briefing of volunteer team
- Contact other volunteers who have signed up to help with the concert
- Ensure that tickets, merchandise and floats are inventoried prior to the concert
- Verify ticket sales and merchandise sales and report on any discrepancies
