About Chamber Chats

FREE Chats on Zoom

Chamber Chats: At Home, Chez vous, hosted by celebrated broadcaster/writer Eric Friesen, was developed as a way to stay connected during the COVID-19 pandemic. These 45-minute interactive episodes combine conversation with pre-recorded and live performances featuring guest artists and lecturers from all over the world. They provide artists with an opportunity to engage with audiences from the sanctuary of each performer and viewer’s individual homes. They also provide a vital means by which the Chamberfest community can support artists during this extended period of lost performance revenues.

By participating in the Ottawa Chamber Music Society’s At Home, Chez vous program of Chamber Chats and Live Streaming, participants agree that their name, likeness, and any or all voice or written chat or email communication may be used by the Ottawa Chamber Music Society in rebroadcasts, promotion and related activities. Likewise, participants agree to hold harmless the Ottawa Chamber Music Society, its Board of Directors, staff, contractors, partners, and suppliers for any damage or liability, real or perceived, from that participation including any failure in the use of personal technologies to access the programs.

The chat … was very interesting and intimate. I have never had a chance to socially interact with musicians of this level and it was special to ask questions and get to know these talented people a little. It gave me a deeper appreciation for their music and influences. Thank you for this and I will definitely participate in more chats, and, encourage my friends and family to do so as well.
